Bennett-Lawrie at the Port Union Waterfront Festival, June 25, 2016

What a pleasure to share the stage with the rest of the Bennett=Lawrie ensemble. l-r that's Shawn Lawrie songwriter extraordinaire, Kendall Kiddle laying down the beat until the cows cohone.. and tempting murphy. It looks like I'm accusing Shawn of shrinking my guitar (not totally out of the question with Shawn) and Kendall looks like he's about to confess!  Anyhow, it was a magical day, not to be repeated in the near future as both Shawn and I focus on songwriting for the next while. Our set list: 1. Jupiter and Venus (Bennett-Lawrie) about the two loves of one's life  2. Need To Be Told (Bennett) ...'smell of rain, cool refrain, stories of the road'....   3. Paddy Cake Hand Off. (Lawrie)....one of my favourite songs written by Shawn   4. Old Habits (Die a Slow Slow Death) (Bennett)....we all have them and the not so good ones often take a long time to get rid of  5. Certified Trouble (Lawrie) This song proves Shawn is a folk musical old soul of the highest order! 6. Hearts Command (Bennett) of love and loss during the War of 1812...your know the one the Americans did NOT win and finally 7. With You My Friend (Lawrie) that most 60's of songs..'If I touch half way across my mind, to the other side of the day I find'......  Anyhow, thanks boys, thanks to Robert and Jon for doing so much work to put the festival together.  Fade to black....
